Cost Sets
Cost sets are classes grouped together for exporting and reporting purposes.
For example, the EAC cost set is comprised of the actual class and the forecast class.
The standard cost sets are as follows:
- Actuals
- Budget
- Earned/Progress
- EAC
- ETC
- OTB
- Replan
- ReprogCVA
- ReprogSVA
You can use the standard cost sets or create your own cost sets. Use the Cost Sets tab of the Project Properties dialog box to define alternative reporting cost set to represent the standard costs.
Reprogramming Cost Sets
When creating a new project and the Copy defaults from project option on the General Information page of the New Project Wizard is cleared, the ReprogCVA and ReprogSVA cost sets are created in the new project.
Cobra uses the ReprogCVA and ReprogSVA cost sets to house the classes that are used during reprogramming efforts. These classes, which contain the Reprogramming Adjustment values, are exported in the Deltek Common Data Exchange (DCDE), Integrated Program Management Data Analysis Report (IPMDAR), and Department of Energy (DOE) Project Assessment and Reporting (PARS) formats using the Cost Data Export Wizard. The ReprogCVA and ReprogSVA cost sets are also used during the export of Cobra data into wInsight XML or UNCEFACT XML.
By default, the following format reports support the ReprogCVA and ReprogSVA cost sets:
- CPR Format 1
- CPR Format 2
- IPMR CPR Format 1
- IPMR CPR Format 2
